As we approach the end of our 8th year in business we reflect on the amazing journey that was 2015 and plan for creating a new inspiring gym experience in 2016 – more to come on this latter.
The events of the last week – that is, the water deluge have been a great pre-curser to change and a brilliant lesson on how to remain flexible, dynamic and still grow in times of uncertainty.
We emptied out over 1000 Lt of water the day after the storm, worked tirelessly throughout what was left of the week and then weekend – tearing out the carpet, walls and repainting to re-opened the gym Monday afternoon.
Life lessons are endless and when life throws you a curve ball, what do you do? Will you be the one holding your forehead in both hands crying out, ‘why me?’ or will you be the one looking for the greater opportunity and saying ‘why not me!’
So we take the hit and move on…that’s what we do. We move on with even greater conviction and clarity of mind that no matter what happens, there is a rainbow after the storm. And we have never been more certain than now, of an exciting new year ahead.
For many, you may reflect on 2015 and wonder if you have achieved your personal, fitness and health goals, wondered if you did your best. The important thing to remember is that you showed up and tried, and 2016 is another year to do even better than the one before.
We want to thank all those that offered and helped us out last week. A heart felt THANK YOU from our most deepest sense of appreciation.
It was a mammoth effort and we are not only thankful and grateful to all those that supported us throughout the year (our outstanding staff and members) but are immeasurably touched by the reaching out to us by our friends, staff and members who helped or offered to help us out with the clean up.
We wish you a Joy-Filled Christmas and cannot wait to hear all your holiday stories when you return refreshed and invigorated – maybe even with a few kilos extra on board. But what the heck, why work out all year round if you can’t sit back and just enjoy life a little on the wild side.
Merry Christmas and may your festive season bring you grace and happiness.
Michael and Barbara
